First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in downtown Edwardsville, IL welcomes all to our shared ministry and mission.  As followers of Jesus Christ, we strive in all we do to love God and neighbor with our hearts, minds and souls. 

Rooted in faith with a love to be in relationship with other disciples, we are a church of all ages and walks of life.  Friendly and an extended family would describe our fellowship.

First Christian Church is an Open & Affirming congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). We affirm the life and teachings of Jesus Christ by welcoming all people of diverse race, nationality, ethnicity, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, ability, age, and family configuration to worship and participate fully in all aspects of church life.

Worship on Sunday morning:  

• SUMMER WORSHIP is held at 10:00am  from June 8 through August 31, 2025.  It is a blend of our two services - both organ and band (sometimes more of one or the other), casual atmosphere and dress, and an optimum time! 
• Fellowship Time is held at 9:30am -- coffee, juice, snacks and fellowship before worship.  
• Sunday School for children and youth is on break in the summer months.

We share in the Lord's Supper - communion - every Sunday.  We are a people of the table!

Worship Online-Live Stream:  Both Sunday morning services are livestreamed on YouTube.
