  • Current Glen-Ed Pantry Needs

    The need is great this month, see list below.  Donated items can either be brought to the church and placed in or the designated bins in the Narthex and lobby or they can be dropped off at the Glen-Ed Pantry during regular hours.  The Pantry will also accept monetary donations that allows them to buy the specific products they need when they need them. Monetary donations can be donated directly to the Glen-Ed Pantry through their website address below, mail, or dropped off at the Pantry, 125 5th Avenue, Edwardsville, IL 62025, during regular pantry hours, or placed in the drop box next to the door.     This month's items:

    • peanut butter,  jelly
    • canned meats
    • boxed mashed potatoes, side dishes, meal starters
    • both, gravy
    • laundry detergent, dish soap
    • toothbrushes
    • oatmeal, pop-tarts, breakfast bars
    • crackers, graham crackers
    • canned pineapple, mandarin oranges, other fruit
    • cornbread mix
    • white sugar, flour, cooking oil
    • spices, salt, pepper
    • fruit juice, bottled water, beverages


  • head start family meals

    This Christmas, the Loyal U & I Class is providing Schnucks gift cards to be given to 18 Edwardsville Head Start families. These gift cards in the amount of $75 each will assist in a good Christmas dinner along with a message of hope and support to needy families. The class uses their yearly offerings as seed money for this project while also inviting the congregation to assist in making this a reality.


    Donations of all amounts are welcome.  Special envelopes are in the Narthex.  Donations will be collected Nov. 27 - Dec. 11:  Sent to the church office, dropped off to the class on Sundays, or placed in the offering plates. Checks should be made out to the Loyal U & I Class, with "gift cards" in the memo line.

  • christmas gifts for two families

    We are assisting 2 Edwardsville School District families with Christmas gifts. Check out the display in the Narthex for specifics gift tags with the childrens ages/sex/sizes/need/wants. There are also tags for general family needs.
    Family A: mother, 1 teen, 2 children

    Family B: mother, 1 infant, 1 teen, 3 children


    Unwrapped gifts due at church by Dec. 11.

  • OASIS Gift cards

    The Mission Team is collecting $30 gift cards (from local stores) to be given to the clients of the Oasis Womens Shelter in Alton. Oasis is an emergency shelter for victims of domestic abuse. A tree in the Narthex has more information.
