First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in downtown Edwardsville, IL welcomes all to our shared ministry and mission. As followers of Jesus Christ, we strive in all we do to love God and neighbor with our hearts, minds and souls.
Rooted in faith with a love to be in relationship with other disciples, we are a church of all ages and walks of life. Friendly and an extended family would describe our fellowship.
First Christian Church is an Open & Affirming congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). We affirm the life and teachings of Jesus Christ by welcoming all people of diverse race, nationality, ethnicity, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, ability, age, and family configuration to worship and participate fully in all aspects of church life.

Worship on Sunday morning:
- Traditional at 9:00am (formal liturgy, hymns, organ, choir, robes)
- Contemporary at 10:30am (informal and casual, band led praise music)
- COMING July 14 through September 1, 2024 -- SUMMER WORSHIP of ONE service at 10:00am.
- (Fellowship time 9:30am-10:00am)
We share in the Lord's Supper - communion - every Sunday. We are a people of the table!
